DreamStalker

Silently, secretly
the prowler stalks at night.
Quetly lying, the child
watches the shadows with fright.
She can hear his every move
with that, she knows he is there.
His is watching her lustfully
she can feel his heavy stare.
Then the light does the darkness break
it is refreshingly bright.
Everything is safe and calm,
it is always that way, in the light.
But the prowler will stalk again
in her dreams, that night.
