Ok well, since I've spent so much time during my
l ife on Air Force Bases, I figured I ought to have
something here for them too! Well, I don't have much
at the present...but here's what little I have so far.

I was born at Forbes AFB in Topeka Kansas...
I have lived at Langly AFB, Clark, AFB
and Little Rock AFB

Here's the picture of the entrance to Little Rock AFB.

That is the kind of plane my dad used to fly on. It is a C-130.

Here's another picture of one, in flight.

Here's a poem that was printed in the Stars and Stripes Newspaper in 1971.

An Untitled Poem

Once the halls were filled with laughter
Another mission done.
Now the silence is unnerving,
Gone is all the fun.
We hear the rumor through the grapevine--
An aircraft has gone down.
Each man wonders who it was,
And each face wears a frown.
Alone, unarmed, the trasports fly,
To the crews daily chore.
A crew returns, the rumor ends-
Crew fourteen is no more.
This crew and plane were not the first,
There were others in the past.
We pray to God, but knowing not
That this will be the last.
And in our hearts a candle burns,
For friends who've died-
Tomorrow, another mission launch,
Our hurt is borne in stride.
We take the wounded from the fields,
The ammo to the lines.
Today its mail for the combat troops,
Tomorrow a load of mines.
We pay our respect to our friends,
Our heads in silence bowed.
A teardrop dulls the downcast eye,
A prayer goes through the crowd.
And one day in our twilight years,
We'll look back on days gone by.
To friends who lived and friends who died,
With whom we shared the skies.
